Haiku upon a Rose

          Three years I've waited—
          Suddenly you bloom,
          Quite taking my breath away.

It is a president; that's a Ronald Reagan. The one in the front of the house, Katja, that has never bloomed. You see to the right of the rose, the killer-weeds are back, again.

Thanks Jarod. I've given it a bit of time, love, and patience, plus fertilizer and insecticide and fungicide, but in the end, Mother Nature did the most work, I think :)

I had to go to Jackson & Perkins web-site and check, what colour the Lincoln is :) I was pretty sure, that you have them at the new garden, too. I wish I was there to help you with the killer-weeds.

Yeah Mr. Lincoln is red, too, but instead of being shaped like a wild or antique rose like this one, it's your traditional cut rose. Yes, you and I planted a Lincoln, but it was among those that died the first winter ;_; waaaaah!
