Yup. Still coming up monkeys. Haven't read The Golden Compass yet, but I have it on my nightstand... will get to it soon, so I have it read by the time the movie comes out. Whee!

I've read that according to the director(?) this is better that Tolkien's trilogy.
I doubt that, I really do - but I will have to see it to decide for myself.
I also read that it is based on the first of a trilogy, too. I wonder if the filmmakers stop at making the first - I bet they don't :)
